ITDA Experience Programs

The learning process is very simple and effective, the process follows: Theory / Manual or Workbook, self-study or Instructor led (Classroom), or theory online from ITDA Academy, then learn some practical safety skills to keep you safe while underwater... Then your instructor will and assess and evaluate you to pass grade... 

1st. Experience level (No prior knowledge or experience required) Limited certification, valid for 2 years to upgrade to "Open Water Scuba Diver" Certification, that will allow you to dive on guided tours and with a dive buddy of equal or higher level...

You may also dive during the 2 year upgrade period without completing the "Experience Program" again but you will be restricted to: Diving Under Professional Supervision, limited to a maximum depth of 12m/40ft. (Most shallow reef dives are in this limit)...

You can upgrade to ITDA Open Water Diver and after just 10 experience dives, may dive without supervision within the limits of your certification.

The ITDA Scuba Open Water Diver Certification is a full Open Water Certification to dive to 20m/66ft. and recommended supervised diving up to ten (10) open water dives... In order to gain the experience needed to be a safe competent diver, however ITDA certified divers may dive unsupervised...

We also recommend that if you do NOT dive for a long period, you should be happy to take a short assessment dive undersupervision before attempting to dive...   See ITDA Open Water Diver Link
