ITDA JUnior-Snorkelling

Non-Diving Certification in Free-Diving / Junior-Snorkelling Skills

Junior-Snorkelling is a very popular way to get children interested in water safety and water sports, also a great way to introduce scuba-diving at an early age... Also know as Junior Free-Diving.

Junior-Snorkelling and Free-Diving Programssnorkelling

Snorkelling and Free Diving are excellent ways to enjoy maximum fun in the water and we focus our training on "SAFETY FIRST" and then "MAXIMUM FUN"... With a little theory about the hazards and risks involved in any activities conducted in Confined or/and Open Water Environments, plus....+ Learning to use snorkel equipment correctly and awareness about low-cost and dangerous equipment that is available in resort environment shops and markets.

Snorkeling requires no special training, only the ability to swim and to breathe through the snorkel. However, for safety reasons, instruction and orientation from an experienced snorkeler, tour guide, dive shop, or equipment-rental shop is recommended.

ITDA offer a range of Junior Snorkelling course programs from our non diving training division, from Introduction to snorkelling as an "Experience Only Program" (non Certification) available as both a pool program and open water program, to "Basic nemoSnorkelling Skills", certification program.

This is a major concern for us as we put safety first in all matters...

Children love the idea of "SEEING THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT", especially looking at the Fish life and exploring the incredible underwater world available in many resorts.

Many children also enjoy the life in rock pools and around shore-line areas but many are generally unaware of the hazards and dangers in such areas, like rising tides and stinging creatures etc,

About Our Junior Snorkelling Programturtle

Our focus is on the same curriculum as the adult program but with greater supervision and depth restrictions, certification is from just eight (8) years old to 14 years. After this the adult program is considered safe and appropriate. See ITDA Snorkelling Programs

Instruction generally covers equipment usage, basic safety, what to look for, and what to look out for, and conservation instructions (fragile organisms such as coral are easily damaged by divers and snorkelers). Some organizations recommend that for snorkeling safety one should not snorkel alone, but rather with an ITDA Instructor, "buddy", or ITDA Pro guide or an ITDA tour group.

We are developing new theory lessons based on water safety and marine hazards (Jelly-fish Presentation FREE Download here!), marine life (Fish ID), plus skills in: Swimming with mask, snorkel and fins. Duck Diving to a maximum depth of 3m/10ft. and surface rescue skills.

We can also match local junior school science curriculum's to cover theory objective like understanding: Bouyancy Laws (Why things float and why they sink?) along with some basic physics etc.

As this is a NEW program we are just finishing the final dvelopments before the launch for 2016 from Jan worldwide....  Please be patient and contact us if you need more info or sample materials ahead of the launch...  admin@diveitda.com

Unique Benefits of ITDA Training

The ITDA are focused on higher quality training and have created a unique assessment and skills evaluation process based on our step system, building student knowledge and skills slowly (At Your Pace!) ...  We also only issue certifications based on your actual ability level, sometime this means requiring more experience before higher level certifications are awarded.  98% of our programs are pass first time...
