Technical rescue specialist
This is a very complex area / subject, as rescue in sports scuba is relatively simple and the skills are generally widely accepted as being fun to train... However the area of technical rescue is much more complex. For example: Cave Rescue, Deep Rescue (below 40m/132ft) and rescues from wrecks or sunken vehicles etc.
These all present unique
threats and possibly lethal outcomes for the rescuers or
rescue team... They require extreme diving skills and a
complete knowledge of the dive site.
About the ITDA Course Program "Technical Rescue"...
The ITDA Technical Diver Rescue certification is based on the training and skills contained in the ITDA Professional Diver program for our Public Safety Diver Course. As trained and certified to Emergency Recue Teams operated by the Fire Services and Military Operations... So our standards are extremely high for this level...
RISKS ASSESSMENT
This course program requires very high levels of physical and mental health as rescuers are at extreme risk, depending on the circumstances. As the only common factor in these types of rescue is the serious risk of death or injury to those performing these rescues.
